Engaging Revelation

In this conceptual photography project, I use visuals around Coolidge Corner, Brookline, MA, at times in private settings, to evoke the Book of Revelation. Divine communication of truth and knowledge regards epiphany and shift in consciousness. Whether serious or humorous in tone, the photography engages scripture. My suggested interpretations are described. Harvard Extension School.

Purifying Church. 2024. Brookline, MA. The product symbolizes cleanliness, linked to purity, a concept in Revelation. The humorous suggestion is that a cleaning product [purity] can rid the church of demons, and the church is infested.

Vent. 2024. Brookline, MA. "Vent” can mean to give free expression to a strong emotion. Jesus Christ expresses his feelings toward Satan when He throws the devil “into the lake of burning sulfur” to be tormented forever (Rev. 20:10).
